This Breakthrough Design captures solid particulate matter at the inlet in a sediment trapping screen to lessen the effects of water-borne contaminants on the KDF dechlorinating media, extending filter life. Its High Quality Polycarbonate Housing is specially engineered to be long lasting and durable, making the RS-503 the most trouble-free shower filter available.   The RS-505 shower filter is a sealed unit and comes with a back flush adapter so it can be reversed once a month or so to flush out collected contaminates and particulate matter. The life of this unit is approximately 12 to 15 months.
